Haiku Poems

In Room 16 we have been writing to write Haiku poems.
"Haiku" is a traditional form of Japanese poetry.  Haiku poems consist of 3 lines.  The first and last lines of a Haiku have 5 syllables and the middle line has 7 syllables.  The lines rarely rhyme.
Room 16 children really enjoyed being creative and writing these Haiku poems. The theme related to these Haiku poems were animals since we had recently visited the Auckland Zoo this year. I really hope you enjoy reading them.
