School trip to Totara Park.

   This term Clendon Park School had a whole school outing to Totara Park in Manurewa. This was a great time for teachers to not only bond with the children in their classes but also gave them an opportunity to get to know the children's Whanau's/families.

The students showed values such as: Whanaungtanga (Sense of belonging). This is where the children got to know each other, teachers, parents and build positive connections/relationships with each other. It was really great to amount of  Whanau involvement in the whole school outing.

The Rangatahi also showed the Value Manakitanga through helping each other out and showing Arhoa and kindness towards one another. It was great to see sharing amongst the Rangatahi as well as team work when it came to team sports.

The rangatahi really had a enjoyable time at Totara park. Room 16 showed perseverance when it came to going for a bush walk. They kept going even through they were getting tired and there were 100 stairs to go up they didn't give up which was really awesome to see.

It was defiantly a great outing for everyone.
